This is a great project for beginner crocheters or seasoned crafters looking for small amigurumi to sell at markets. I usedI Love This Yarnfrom Hobby Lobby. Finished pig measures 4" in height and 5" in length with worsted weight yarn. If you want a larger pig, use super bulky yarn with a 6.5mm hook.

Worsted Weight Yarn
4.5mm Hook
Polyfil
Yarn Needle
12mm Safety Eyes
SNOUT & BODY

LEGS x4
Round 1: Start with a magic circle of 6 stitches (6)
Round 2: [inc in each st] (12)
Round 3-4: sc in every st around
Cut 8" tail and sew onto bottom of the body
TAIL
Insert your hook into the upper back part of body where you'd like the tail to go. Do a single crochet to connect, then chain 5. Then do 2 sc in each chain across, this will create the curl. Cut a 6" tail and weave it in.
With regard to the ears on the pig pattern. I don’t understand what you mean by “ Cut 8" tail and use yarn needle to squinch bottom together.” Can you help me to understand this? Thank you. ——— Simply Hooked Marcy replied: Hey Glenda! I’m so sorry for the late response. I just now saw your comment! I’m glad you pointed this out. That is actually a type. You do not squinch the bottom of the ears on the pig. You sew them on like normal. I must’ve gotten that mixed up with the hippo. I hope this helps! :)
